Our History

Founded in 1908, Grand Lawn Cemetery features a beautiful landscape on 175 acres with the Rouge River running through the middle of the cemetery. Grand Lawn is in west Detroit, on the southeast corner of Grand River Avenue and Telegraph Road, bordering McNichols Road on its south side and just a few miles west of Southfield Freeway. A rich history and strong reputation as one of Metro-Detroit's most visited cemeteries ensures Grand Lawn Cemetery will be here for centuries to come.
